How we handle your details

Plain-language summary. Have your lawyer review this page before launch.

What we collect

What you type into our forms, any files you attach, and basic request details (IP address, country and browser) used to stop spam. For a job application that means your contact details, links to your work, degree details if you give them, your internet and power setup, your computer’s operating system, your cover note and CV if you add them, and later your skills-challenge submission and our scores. We don’t ask for ID documents when you apply. If you join the waitlist for a country we haven’t opened, we keep your email and country.

What we use it for

To reply to your request, assess job applications, and run referral partnerships. A job application gets a first check that scores your answers automatically, using only what you told us about your work, setup and availability. We use it to decide who we invite to the skills challenge, and a person reads and scores every challenge submission. If you join the waitlist, we write to you once, when we open in your country. We don’t sell your details or add you to mailing lists.

Where it’s stored

On our hosting, database and file storage providers. Files such as CVs are private and only visible to the Acloe team. Our engineering team works remotely from West Africa.

How long we keep it

Project requests for as long as we work together and two years after. Job applications for up to two years, unless you ask us to delete them sooner. Waitlist entries until we open in your country, or two years.
