How billing works

  • Monthly blocksPaid before the month starts. Minimum 80 hours a month.
  • 30 days’ noticeScale up or down, or stop, with a month’s notice.
  • No rolloverHours don’t carry over, so you only pay for the capacity you use.

What a team looks like

Questions about hourly teams

What’s the difference between a senior engineer and an engineer?
A senior engineer leads the work and owns the result. An engineer is mid-level, and a senior on your team reviews everything they write. Most teams are built around seniors, with engineers added when the roadmap needs more hands.
Do unused hours carry over?
No. A monthly block covers that month. If your roadmap is lighter, scale the team down with 30 days’ notice instead of paying for hours you won’t use.
Can I try before committing?
Yes. A two-week paid pilot on a real piece of your roadmap, at a price agreed up front, before you sign up for a monthly team.
Do I interview the engineers?
No. Every engineer is vetted by us before they join our team, so you’re introduced instead: profiles of people matched to your stack, and a short call to meet them. If the fit isn’t right, we introduce someone else.
How do I pay?
By ACH, wire or card, in monthly blocks paid before the month starts.
